July 4th will Mark Huge Increase in Travel
AAA projects shows there will be a significant jump in travel this 4th of July by both car and plane. An estimated 34.9 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more over the busy holiday weekend.
The 4th of July is always a busy travel time because the weather is nice, the kids aren’t in school and it’s the perfect time to visit new cities and exciting destinations. There will also be a ton of July 4th celebrations all over the US. Some large-scale celebrations include Fourth of July in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco.
For 4th of July in New York City, check out the Macy’s fireworks or Hudson River below 59th street.
If you are in Chicago check out the fireworks at Navy Pier. San Francisco will have some celebrations of its own at Pier 39.
